PowerOak B.V. cares deeply about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we collect about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services accessible on it by PowerOak B.V.. The effective date of this policy is 28/08/2025, and with the publication of a new version, the validity of all previous versions expires. This privacy policy describes what data about you is collected by us, what it is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data, how we protect it from misuse, and what rights you have regarding the personal data you provide to us.

E-commerce Software – PrestaShop
Our webshop is developed with PrestaShop software. Personal data that you provide for our services is shared with this party. PrestaShop has access to your data to provide technical support, but will never use your data for any other purpose. PrestaShop is obliged to take appropriate security measures based on the agreement we have with them. These measures include SSL encryption and a strong password policy. PrestaShop uses cookies to collect technical information related to the use of the software; no personal data is collected and/or stored. PrestaShop reserves the right to share collected data within its own group to further improve the service.
Web Hosting – Hostnet
We use hosting and email services provided by Hostnet. Hostnet processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. These are not personal data. Hostnet has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. Hostnet is bound to confidentiality under the agreement.
Email and Mailing Lists – Hostnet
We use Hostnet for our regular business email traffic. Hostnet has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, and corruption of your and our data. Hostnet does not have access to our inbox and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.
Payment Processors – Mollie
For handling (part of) the payments in our webshop, we use the Mollie platform. Mollie processes your name, address, place of residence, and payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Mollie has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. Mollie reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in this context, share (anonymized) data with third parties. All the above safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Mollie’s service for which they engage third parties. Mollie does not store your data longer than is legally permitted.
Reviews – WebwinkelKeur
We collect reviews via the WebwinkelKeur platform. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide a name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this data with us so that we can link the review to your order. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to provide an explanation of your review. If we invite you to leave a review, we will share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. They use this data only for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data. WebwinkelKeur reserves the right to engage third parties to provide its services. All the above safeguards regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the service for which WebwinkelKeur engages third parties.
Shipping and Logistics – PostNL & DHL
PostNL: When you place an order with us, it is our job to deliver your package to you. We use the services of PostNL for deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address, and place of residence with PostNL. PostNL only uses this data to perform the agreement. If PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also provide your data to these parties.
DHL: When you place an order with us, it is our job to deliver your package to you. We use the services of DHL for deliveries. It is therefore necessary that we share your name, address, and place of residence with DHL. DHL only uses this data to perform the agreement. If DHL engages subcontractors, DHL will also provide your data to these parties.
Accounting and Bookkeeping – Exact Online
We use the services of Exact Online to maintain our administration and accounting. We share your name, address, and place of residence as well as details regarding your order. This data is used to administer sales invoices. Your personal data is securely transmitted and stored. Exact Online is bound to confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. Exact Online will not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.
Purpose of Data Processing
General Purpose of Processing
We use your data solely for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you provide. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you later – other than at your request – we will ask for your explicit consent. Your data is not shared with third parties, except to meet accounting and other administrative obligations. These third parties are all bound to confidentiality under the agreement between them and us or a legal obligation.
Automatically Collected Data
Data automatically collected by our website is processed to further improve our services. This data (for example, your IP address, web browser, and operating system) is not personal data.
Cooperation in Fiscal and Criminal Investigations
In some cases, PowerOak B.V. may be required by law to share your data in connection with governmental fiscal or criminal investigations. In such a case, we are forced to share your data, but we will resist within the limits of the law.
Retention Periods
We retain your data as long as you are our client. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you inform us of this, we will also treat it as a forget request. This also means that we do not keep your data for longer than two years after the last contact or transaction, unless there is a legal justification for doing so. Based on applicable administrative obligations, we must keep invoices containing your (personal) data, and we will therefore retain this data for as long as the applicable term runs. Employees no longer have access to your client profile and documents created in response to your assignment.

You always have the right to restrict the processing of data related to you. After your request, you will receive a confirmation within 30 days.
Right to Data Portability
You always have the right to transfer the data we process about you to another party. After approval, you will receive copies of all processed data.
Right to Object and Other Rights
You have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. If you object, we will immediately stop processing pending the handling of your objection. If justified, we will make copies of the data available to you and then permanently stop processing.
